Protocol Update for Covid-19

All staff, visitors, or patients entering the facility will be required to sign an attestation stating they do not have any COVID symptoms.

Thank you for your inquiry about the COVID-19 vaccine. We believe that the vaccine is an important step on the path to overcome the pandemic. Foundation Surgical Hospital of San Antonio is a Texas COVID-19 vaccine provider and is following all the guidelines and regulations provided by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

At this time, we have exhausted our allocated supply of vaccinations.  We will receive another allocation to provide 2^nd doses to those already vaccinated.  It is unknown if we will receive any further allocations.

Please feel free to check back with us in the future. Also please be aware that the number of locations receiving the vaccination is rapidly growing within our community. These locations will include physicians’ offices, clinics, pharmacies like H-E-B, and publicly operated vaccine clinics, such as the one being operated at the AT&T Center.

In the meantime, it is important that we all stay safe and vigilant. Practices such as wearing a mask, social distancing, and frequent hand washing are known to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 other viruses.

Effective Wednesday, August 12, 2020 we will allow each patient to have one (1) designated visitor. The visitors will always be required to comply with our screening process and protocols and to wear a face covering. We will also enforce social distancing guidelines and may have some limits on overall visitor capacity. All other access restrictions will remain in place.

Knowing how important it is to have a family member or friend by your side during a medical event, we are very pleased that we are once again able to enhance our services to those we serve by welcoming their family and friends to our hospital.

All visitors and patients must wear a mask covering their nose and mouth upon entry to the facility.
