After obtaining his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Leonard then completed his neurosurgery residency, as well as a fellowship in spine surgery, at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital. Dr. Leonard’s Air Force career brought him to San Antonio, where he was the Director of Spine Surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center for three years before leaving the military and establishing the Alamo Neurosurgical Institute. Dr. Leonard also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Center for Neurosurgical Sciences at the University of Texas Health Science Center, and has authored numerous articles on a variety of topics in neurosurgery. Dr. Leonard utilizes the latest minimally invasive technologies to treat the full spectrum of neurosurgical disorders, including autologous stem cell treatments to improve fusion rates for patients undergoing spine surgery.
