| Shaun Jackson, MD, Pain Management
Dr. Jackson earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biophysics with Magna Cum Laude honors from Centenary College of Louisiana, Shreveport, in 1999 followed by his Doctorate in Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport in 2003. Dr. Jackson completed an integrated internship in 2005 and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio in 2007. He completed post-doctorate training with a Fellowship in Pain Medicine at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in 2008.
Dr. Jackson is board eligible in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Management. In treating individuals with pain syndromes, Dr. Jackson believes in a holistic approach, focusing on musculoskeletal reorganization - stabilization through physical/occupation therapy and other modalities, patient education, constructive psychosocial reinforcement, and positive lifestyle modifications.
Dr. Jackson is professionally affiliated with the Bexar County Medical Society, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and the Texas Medical Association.
