Dr. Richard T. Steffen received his medical training from the University of Miami's School of Medicine in Miami, Florida and performed his residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland, AFB in San Antonio, Texas.
His post graduate medical experience includes: General Surgery Internship at Keesler AFB in Mississippi, USAF Flight Surgeon at McConnell AFB in Kansas, Theater Flight Surgeon in Restore Hope (Sammolia, Africa), and Teaching Staff for Emory Riddle University in Florida.
Dr. Steffen is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He also completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship under the direction of Dr. Jesse DeLee in San Antonio.
He specializes in surgical treatment of shoulder, hip, and knee injuries.
