James Atkins, MD, ENT
Dr. James Atkins is a native Texan. He started private practice in South Texas in 1991. Dr. Atkins earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1981 with honors followed by his Doctorate in Medicine from the Baylor College School of Medicine in Houston in 1985. Dr. Atkins completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in both general surgery (1985-87) and otolaryngology head and neck surgery (1987-91).
Dr. Atkins is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Atkins held staff appointments as Chief of Medical Staff at St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital in San Antonio (1997) and Chief of Staff at The Physicians Centre, Bryan, Texas (2000-01).
Dr. Atkins is professionally affiliated with the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, Amercian Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, American Medical Association, and Kendall County Medical Society.
Dr. Atkins specializes in medical and surgical treatment of sinus disorders in children and adults as well as snoring and sleep apnea problems in adults.
