| | | Daniel Gutierrez, DO, Neuro/Spine Surgery
Dr. Daniel Gutierrez is originally from Iowa. He started his private practice in San Antonio in 1995. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas in Denton immediately followed by his Doctorate in Osteopathy from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. Dr. Gutierrez completed a rotating internship (1989-90) in Michigan at Horizon Health System, Detroit Osteopathic Hospital and Bi-County Community Hospital and his residency in Neurological Surgery (1990-95).
Dr. Gutierrez is licensed by the states of Michigan and Texas. He is board certified in Neurological Surgery by the American Osteopathic Association/American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. Dr. Gutierrez is on the medical staff of Foundation Surgical Hospital of San Antonio. He has also served on the medical staff of Metropolitan Methodist Hospital, Christus Santa Rosa Hospital Downtown and Medical Center and Baptist Hospital System – all of San Antonio. He has served as a member of the Metropolitan Hospital Surgical Clinical Board since 1995 and as chief for three of those years, a member of the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital System Ethics Committee since 2001 and Ethics Education Committee since 2007.
Dr. Gutierrez is professionally affiliated with the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and Bexar County Medical Society. His community services include guest lecturer at Boone Elementary School Career Day and volunteer physician member of USA Boxing providing ringside services since 1997 annually.
